Second Semester

Subject: Computer Technology

Course Code: OT23202

Course Description

This course in computer technology is required of students in Mathayom 3. The primary focus in this second semester will be the continued look at data structures and databases, entering data into a student created MS Access database. The second part of the course is focusing upon 3D creation of objects using 2 packages, Firstly Sculptris, which is used to push and pull to using the many tools available and to create 3 realistic objects. Secondly using Blender which again will be used but using the different mathematical tools available to create 3 object which when combined will be the final project. Students are encouraged to increase their 3D skills by creating a humanoid object that can have a skeletal frame work attached.

Course Objectives

  1. To consolidate work commenced in S1, to examine data collected and display of data.

  2. To introduce the students to data structures and database and their software packages.

  3. To introduce students to the available 3D software packages available for the creation of 3D objects.

  4. To assist student in gaining a solid understanding of the 3D shape creation tools available using Sculptris where objects can be created using the various tools.

  5. To

  6. To provide students with the skills required to complete a 3D project using 3D Model creation software (Blender) and model animation software (advanced).

  7. To consolidate student’s skills of the use of the Systems Life Cycle as a tool for use in all IT projects.

  8. To present all work to the class.
