Course Description
This course in computer technology is required of students in Mathayom 1. The primary focus in this semester will be in Core ICT Skills. The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of everyday computer use in Desk Top Publishing software. The DTP project will teach the students the ability to create professional greeting cards, business cards and a 6 panel school brochure. The final part of the semester will focus on programming a scratch playable game using the scratch editor, students will learn how to use code blocks and create sprites for the specified game. The game will have a point system and a detailed user manual is required for the project.
Course Objectives

To provide students with the ability to create specified documents to some set criteria at a professional level.

To give a comprehensive breakdown of the available tools for editing, modifying and creating images.

To be able to use Desk Top Publishing software to create professional documents such as, greetings cards, business cards and brochures for a set purpose.

To provide the ability to print out/print preview documents to a set criterion.

To be able to improve on multi-media presentations, showing knowledge of linking presentations to other work and displaying them professionally

To teach students how to create a simple game using the Scratch editor program

The ability to draw create sprites using an editor for the game.

The use of code to control the movement and speed of sprites, collision detection, and the variables used in the game

Be able to create a user guide for the game describing the controls and objectives of the game created.
